Rovio Teases Addition Of Portals To Angry Birds Seasons With Clever Vine Clip

A week ago, Rovio posted a photo on Twitter teasing the next update to Angry Birds Seasons. Apparently, the “seasonal” edition of Angry Birds is set to get magical. And now, as spotted by Pocket Gamer, the Finnish game developer has posted a Vine video teasing the upcoming addition to Angry Birds Seasons of a specific magical device.

“Angry Birds Seasons will have Portals soon!” says Rovio’s announcement through its official Vine account, which accompanies the following six-second looped video or vine:

As you can see, the vine, which is cleverly shot with Angry Birds plush toys and props, shows one of the titular avians entering a portal and coming out of another.

Evidently, portals are going to be introduced as new gameplay elements to be used in popping those bad piggies.

Rovio still hasn’t announced a release date for the upcoming Angry Birds Seasons update. Rest assured that it’s “coming soon” and that we’re set to let you know about it as soon as it comes.

Compatible with iDevices running iOS 4.3 or later, Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone and Angry Birds Seasons HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively.

The previous Angry Birds Seasons update introduced power-ups to the game and also added new levels to a couple of the game’s existing episodes.
